End of the Soul Cellar
After 4 years 10 months and 250 shows the Soul Cellar has come to an end. I will be continuing a weekly show on Solar Radio (www.solarradio.com) and podcasts and playlists will be available through this site. You will have noticed the new look and domain (www.raregroovesmodernsoul.com). There is also a new feed to subscribe to the show, don’t forgot to bookmark the new address.

Hi Paul, I nearly had heart failure when I saw the heading “end of the soul cellar”. Thankfully you’re not going anywhere and it’s just basically a name change.
Keep up the great work you do in playing rare modern soulful music - I have discovered so many great songs because of your shows.

Congratulations on your 250th show, Paul! And here´s to the next 250 - cheers mate! And as Shakespeare wrote in Romeo & Juliet: “What´s In A Name”… your soul show is still a top quality soul show by any other name would sound as sweet!

I’m glad you’re not going anywhere, you had me worried for a moment!
Although I will admit to being rather excited when I thought I’d found another site which seemed to be playing cool music too - I noticed I was getting loads of referrals to my dazlingsoul site from “this new one”, so I had to check it out!

Same feeling as the three other comments…
When I read ‘End Of The Soul Cellar’ I thought : ‘What a pity… after all this great music here’s another radio who will choose the easy way to get money and scraps the great music you are playing.’
How glad I am to see that the following show, although bearing a different name, is more of the same. And in this case more is GOOD! Being in France I can only listen to your show through the podcast so I come here every fortnight to check what other gems you’ve decided to spin.
Great great job indeed! Keep it up!

The one over riding thing is the music - as Mel said, ‘what’s in a name’, as Berry Gordy said, ‘it’s whats in the grooves that count’ & the man knew what he was saying ! The 250th show was just the end of the beginning, good luck with the next 250, absolute essential listening for a Tuesday evening & the pod cast is a life saver !
Keep on doing what you’re doing Paul.
