Wonderful show Paul…..some of my faves tonight and so good to hear Stormy Weather and Tom’s Song which I first heard on your show a couple of years ago and fell in love with it…….
Thanks again for a great selection!!
Tina
Great show again, Paul!
My picks: June Yamagishi, Miss Louistine, Tony Aiken & The Future 2000, Melvin Brown & James Matthews, City Limits, Jimmy Elledge, Johnny Baker, Cloudburst.
Agneta Bauman, Swedish singer, used to be in a group called Harlequin and was an ABBA-associate (LOL). They had some really tight studio musicians back in the day.
Wonderful to hear about the mail you got from Geraldine Hunt – made me smile :)
Cheers,
Melismo
So many good tracks! I heard Geraldine Hunt’s ‘Undercover lover’ for the first time on Melismo’s podcast some time ago. A very good song. And it’s nice to hear an unknown (well, at least to me…) track from the Trammps. And I hadn’t heard the Coke Escovedo track before. He was, if I remember well, a nephew of Prince singer Sheila E. His ‘I wouldn’t change a thing’ is one of the best tracks ever. The cover of the Agenta Baumann isn’t very cool, but the song is!
